Yesterday, April 24, in the capital of France, Paris, the International Forum on attracting foreign investment in the energy sector of Turkmenistan began, in which about 300 delegates participate. Its organizers are the State Concerns “Turkmengas” and “Turkmennebit” in partnership with the “Turkmen Forum” and the British company GaffneyCline.
TEIF 2024 will discuss Turkmenistan’s role in the future of global energy, new investment opportunities in the oil and gas sector, reducing emissions during hydrocarbon production, accelerating investment attraction in infrastructure projects, and the role of financial institutions in promoting clean energy projects.
The forum will also focus on attracting foreign investments in Caspian Sea hydrocarbon resources, optimizing mature field extraction, developing the Galkynysh gas field, constructing the TAPI pipeline, and new gas production. A separate session will address methane emission reduction, while participants will discuss opportunities in Turkmenistan’s construction and transportation sectors.
The Paris forum will similarly concentrate on further attracting investments in the development of Turkmen offshore fields, with special attention given to Blocks 16, 21, 23, and 24.
For two days, Turkmenistan will be the focus of attention of participants in the international forum, which will bring together leading national and international energy companies.
